Become a Mentor

Share your domain expertise, guide student CEOs, and build your AI Digital Twin β€” scaling your impact across industries and generations of practitioners.

Industry leaders who mentor student teams in the Education Industry Network ecosystem are not just advisors β€” they are active co-creators in the Digital Twin Accelerator model. As you mentor, you progressively build AI-based digital representations of your expertise that scale your knowledge transfer far beyond what is possible through traditional engagement.

We welcome mentors from technology, policy, healthcare, education, broadband infrastructure, nonprofit management, and any domain where your expertise can be applied to public interest challenges. Mentorship is designed to be low-friction and high-value β€” typically 2–4 hours per month structured around student milestones.

Low friction,
high impact

We've designed mentorship to respect your time. Typical engagement is 2–4 hours per month β€” structured around student milestones so every session has a clear purpose and outcome.

Mentors also gain early access to the Digital Twin Accelerator platform β€” an opportunity to build your own AI-based knowledge representation before it scales publicly.

Our Process

How collaboration works

A five-stage process designed to be repeatable, evidence-based, and high-value for every participant.

Stage 01

Community Problem Identification

Community partners, industry leaders, and public sector stakeholders bring real challenges that become the foundation for student-led initiatives. We scope problems together to ensure feasibility and maximum community impact.

Stage 02

Student CEO Assignment & AI Onboarding

Student CEOs are matched with challenges aligned to their disciplines. Each receives onboarding in the AI Digital Worker toolkit β€” multiple generative AI systems used daily for research, synthesis, design, and rapid prototyping.

Stage 03

Industry Mentor Pairing

Mentors from relevant sectors are paired with student teams. As collaboration deepens, mentors begin building their AI Digital Twin β€” progressively encoding expertise into a scalable, reusable knowledge system.

Stage 04

Co-Design & Prototyping

Student teams apply ISSIP service innovation methodology to design, prototype, and test solutions β€” with iterative feedback loops from community stakeholders and industry mentors at every milestone.

Stage 05

Tech Transfer & Deployment

Solutions that demonstrate value transition into real-world deployment β€” as startup concepts, community tools, or policy recommendations with measurable outcomes and lasting community benefit.
